Salty Dog 6hr Race Report

Sponsored cross country mountain bike athletes, Jena Greaser and Dylan Bailey, kicked off their 2022 season May 15th in Salmon Arm, BC at the Salty Dog 6 hour endurance race.

Sponsored cross country mountain bike athletes, Jena Greaser and Dylan Bailey, kicked off their 2022 season May 15th in Salmon Arm, BC at the Salty Dog 6 hour endurance race. The objective of this race was to complete as many laps as you can in the time cut off of crossing the finish line before 6.5 hours is up. Some people competed in teams, but Dylan and Jena were solo participants.

As you will see in the muddy photos below, the weather was a bit on the wet side! Jena had a huge lead on her completion, winning the women's field by a substantial margin. She would have placed 6th out of 75 racers in the open men. Dylan was not feeling well at the start, but stuck with it. Good thing he did because halfway through the race he came around to feeling better and was able to pick up his pace. He landed 4th in his age category and 7th overall.
