GearHub Adventure Rentals is home to Fernie's best selection of rentals at the best prices! We rent high and mid-performance skis, snowboards, splitboards, boots, and poles, for both adults and kids! We also offer Fernie's largest selection of cross-country ski rentals, as well as fat bikes, snow shoes, and backcountry safety gear!
Reduced rental rates are available for multi-day bookings. We also offer group packages - please contact us for a group rental quote at [email protected] or by calling 250-423-5555. When emailing about rentals:
Downhill - include your height, weight, level, and type of skiing you are going to do (groomers, pow, etc)
XC - include your weight, height, shoe size, and the type of skis (Classic vs Skate)

Ice Skates Rental
Skate rentals are available at our downtown Fernie location, which is conveniently located a 3 minute walk from the local outdoor rink! Our skate rental fleet is made up of Women's K2 Alexis Boa Ice Skates, Men's K2 F.I.T. Boa Ice skates. We also offer year-round skate sharpening services.

Rental Policies:
- Rentals must be returned to the store by closing time on the final day of rental. Rentals returned the next morning will incur charges for an additional day.
- We require a $20 deposit per rental item per day to confirm a booking and hold the item for you. This is not an additional charge, and it comes off your bill at the end of your rental period.
- Please note that we require a credit card pre-authorization for every rental that goes out. This can vary from $250-$1000 depending on the value of the rental item and will be done when you pick your rentals up. This pre-auth would only be charged in the event that our rental is lost or severely damaged.
