GearHub offers a wide variety of winter rentals available through both our Downtown Fernie location and our Adventure Rentals location.
Our Adventure Rentals location is open on Fernie's busiest rental days (Thursdays through Sundays) to help streamline the rental experience.
Most winter rentals are available at both locations, however all snowboard rentals (kids and adults) are done only through the Adventure Rentals location at the Stanford Hotel, and all skate and backcountry gear rentals are done only through our Downtown location.

Adventure Rentals is conveniently located on the way to the ski hill, halfway between downtown Fernie and Fernie Alpine Resort, inside of the Stanford Hotel. It's also just across the road from Mount Fernie Provincial Park (home of the Fernie Nordic Society) and backs right onto the Elk river for summer float access.

Ski Rentals:
Rental skis available at our Adventure Rentals location include K2 ikonic 84s, Nordica Navigators, Nordica Astrals, Blizzard Black Pearls, and Rossignol Smash 7s, S3s, and Roc-xs. Rental Policies:
- Rentals must be returned to the store by closing time on the final day of rental. Rentals returned the next morning will incur charges for an additional day.
- We require a $20 deposit per rental item per day to confirm a booking and hold the item for you. This is not an additional charge, and it comes off your bill at the end of your rental period.
- Please note that we require a credit card pre-authorization for every rental that goes out. This can vary from $250-$1000 depending on the value of the rental item, and will be done when you pick your rentals up. This pre-auth would only be charged in the event that our rental is lost or severely damaged.
