The K2 Talkback 96 Skis deliver incredible alpine performance in an ultralight, touring-specific package. The perfect width to take on virtually any snow conditions, the Talkback 96 is built on a lightweight Paulownia Tour Lite and Carbon Overdrive core with a unique Ti-Spyne titanal backbone for a fantastic balance of uphill ease of use and downhill capability.
Rocker Type: All-Terrain Rocker – Designed for all ability levels, the All-Terrain Rocker adds versatility and ease in all snow conditions. This profile features an elevated tip and tail for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edgehold in firmer conditions.
Core: Paulownia – Lively, flexible wood with excellent weight to strength ratio.
Maple – Energetic, tough, dense wood that absorbs impacts.
Laminates: Carbon Web – A carbon weave stretched across the forebody and tail for added torsional rigidity.
Sidewalls: Hybritech Sidewalls – Blending a sidewall construction underfoot with a full cap construction in the extremities. The sidewall section gives the ski accuracy, power and performance while the capped regions reduce overall ski weight and ease turn initiation and finish.
Graphics: Snowphobic Topsheet – Hydrophobic, snow-shedding top material that helps prevent snow from sticking to the tops of your skis.
Skin Grommets – Reinforced grommets in the tip and tail of the ski that both accommodate K2's pre-cut skins with a Z-clip skin attachment, and can be used with K2/BCA Shovels to build a rescue sled.
Binding Compatibility: We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
Terrain: Alpine Touring
Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
Turning Radius: Medium
Tail Type: Flat
